Notes

  1. Measured by impacting against calibrated force sensor. NIST traceable.
  2. Linearity is percent of full scale or any lesser designated full scale range, zero-based best fit straight line method.
  3. Power only with ALTHEN or ALTHEN approved IEPE** current source type power unit. Do not apply power to this device without current limiting, 20mA max, to do so will destroy the integral electronics.

**IEPE = Integral Electronics Piezo-Electric

Dimensions and Mounting

Dimensions Vibration Sensor AV3200

Series AV3200 with metric thread

All dimensions are approx. values. This drawing is for information only and not intended for construction purpose. Please ask for detailed drawings.

A: 10-32 coaxial electrical connector
B: Arrow indicates sense and direction of acceleration for positive–going output signal
C: electrical isolation: base to case, 10 MΩ min.
D: 3/8 hex
E: Thread M6 x 1.0

F: Diameter 9.5 mm (0.375 in)
Prepare flat surface to this diameter with a finish of 1.6 µm (63 micro inches) or better and flat to 0.0254 mm TIR (total indicator reading) typ.

G, '4': Mounting hole preparation: drill 5 mm x 7 mm deep; tap M6 x 1.0, 6 mm deep; hole to be perpendicular within ±1°

'3': Prepare mounting surface as shown. Apply a layer of silicone grease to mounting surface. Torque sensor in place with 50 lb-inches (approx. 5.6 Nm).
