InnoMeter® HVM 2631:1997
  • Reliable user guide through the measurement of whole-body vibrations
  • Contains measurement, data storage, assessment, archiving

Application

The InnoMeter® HVM 2631:1997 was developed for the measurement of whole- body vibrations acc. to EN ISO 2631: 1997 and the directive 2002/44/EC.

If strong vibrations are transmitted to human beings, a decreased performance and even diseases in blood vessels, nerves, bones, joints, muscles or connective tissue might develop.

For this reason, divers guidelines stipulate measurements acc. to ISO 2631, which assesses the vibration impact on human beings.

With the InnoMeter® HVM 5349, these measurements are carried out conforming to standards. Piezoelectric seat accelerometers are applied, optionally with triaxial sensors for armrests or backrests. Data acquisition devices (model InnoBeamer) accept the sensor data and transmit it to the InnoMeter HVM 2631 via the USB interface.

Advantages

Compared to usual instruments, the InnoMeter® HVM 2631 possesses a user guide. The user is guided through measurement from the choice of the measurement mode to the evaluation of the measurement’s results. Even users who do not deal with HVM measurements very often can be sure to fulfill all details of the standard.

Usual instruments only fulfill one part of the standard: The acquisition of the parameters. Wrong decisions can happen easily. See the difference:

  InnoMeter® HVM 2631 Usual Instruments
Before measurement
  • Easy choice of the measurement mode from a list, all necessary settings are carried automatically acc. to the standard.
  • The user has to know which parameter and which filter has to be selected for the respective measurement mode.
During measurement
  • Graphical drawing for the correct allocation of axes.
  • Measurement of 3 axes simultaneously, at the same time monitoring of the levels as well as monitoring of the signal's shape acc. to the standard.
  • Clear and colored indication of interim and final values during the measurement.
  • Which axis belongs to which direction?
Without knowing the standards, errors can occur easily.
  • Users mostly cannot monitor the signal's shape simultaneously and cannot be sure that the measurement was valid.
  • Single-colored indication of only few values in a small display.
After measurement
  • The measured values are saved in the data storage. Should there be a critical parameter, it is signaled and explained.
  • For evaluation, the measurements can be sorted and combined by Drag&Drop. The vibration total value is calculated immediately.
  • Not all instruments offer data storage. If they do so, necessary additional information acc. to the standard is not available.
  • In the instrument, the evaluation is confusing or impossible. Alternatively, an intricate data transfer has to be carried out. Whether the PC software reaches the flexibility of VibroMatrix. may be doubted.

Properties

Das InnoMeter® HVM 2631 supports measurements acc. to

  • EN ISO 2631-1:1997 (whole-body vibrations),
  • EN ISO 2631-2:2003 (vibrations in buildings) and
  • EN ISO 2631-4:2001 (vibrations in rail vehicles).

Acc. to the standard, the InnoMeter® 2631 is designed for three channels. The usual measurands and weighting filters are integrated. With the choice of the measurement mode, the parameters are adjusted automatically acc. to the standard.

The following calculations are integrated as well. The vibration total value (defined in the standard) can be read off.
