Intrinsically safe pressure sensors
Intrinsically safe pressure sensors are specific types of pressure sensors designed to meet intrinsic safety requirements. Intrinsic safety (IS) refers to a technique in which electrical and electronic equipment is designed and installed with the goal of avoiding ignition sources that can ignite potentially hazardous environments, such as explosive atmospheres in the chemical or mining industries. We also call intrinsically safe pressure sensors intrinsically safe pressure transmitters or intrinsically safe pressure transducers.
