About the CN-Y adhesives
The CN-Y is a very easy-to-use adhesive for very large strains up to 20% (one-component cyanoacrylate) with higher viscosity. Compared to the other cyanoacrylate adhesives (instant adhesives), the high elongation properties of the CN-Y are maintained without restrictions even over very long periods. This adhesive should therefore always be used if large strains are to be measured and several weeks lie between the strain gage application and the date of the test performance.
Processing: the strain gage is pressed on firmly with the thumb for approx. 1 minute.
