Blue Train Bike Club take on the Dolomites

For many years, Althen Sensors & Controls has been the proud sponsor of the Blue Train Bike Club. This group of cycling enthusiasts from North Holland plans a bike trip once every two years to a challenging and beautiful destination to do what they love, cycle. This year, Dirk Schouten, former CEO of Althen Group, and his fellow Blue Train bikers have taken on the Dolomites.

Althen Sensors & Controls BV expands with the acquisition of Metesco BV

Althen Sensors & Controls expands its activities, with the strategic acquisition of Metesco Nederland BV. With the addition of Metesco, Althen gains access to a whole new market segment, namely the rental of sensors, measurement systems and portable measurement & data acquisition equipment. Richard Zwakke founded Metesco BV in 2005 and has since grown it into a renowned name in the world of rental of measuring instruments, measuring systems and innovative on-demand solutions.

Smartbrick to next phase of innovation competition Amsterdam

Althen Sensors & Controls has reached the next phase of the innovation competition for monitoring bridges and quay walls for the Municipality of Amsterdam. For this innovation tender, Althen started the development of a new IIoT sensor solution called the Smartbrick, specifically suited for cost-effective monitoring of quays and bridges.
