Altheris becomes Althen Sensors & Controls

On October 1st, 2018, Altheris BV Sensors & Controls has changed its name into Althen Sensors & Controls BV. A new name, but the same sensor expertise. A new name for Altheris in the Netherlands, but Althen has been a well-known brand in the sensor & measurement technology world for over 40 years. Althen GmbH Mess & Sensortechnik is the existing name of Altheris’ sister company. Both companies operate under the same Dutch holding. After many years of cooperation, we will officially continue under the joint name Althen Sensors & Controls from October 1st.

Althen supplies tow test force measurement system Ocean Cleanup

On september 8th, the Ocean Cleanup has launched their first Ocean Cleanup system 001. Althen is happy to be able to contribute to such sustainable initiatives. Althen has supplied a tow forcing monitoring system to measure the forces that occur between the towing vessel and the system being towed onto the pacific ocean.

Althen presents in-motion wheel measurement at InnoTrans

Althen Sensors & Controls, specialists for electronic measurements of physical parameters, will be presenting their new 3D Automated Wheel Measurement System at InnoTrans in Berlin from September 18 to 21. This new system measures train, tram and metro wheels in-motion, measurement at speeds up to 350 km/h. Fully automatic from data transfer to self-cleaning.

Solar Boat Project TU Delft

It is fall 2017 when we receive a call from students of Technical University Delft. They are working on a Solar Boat and could use a sensor and a partner who could provide them with some expertise. They might be young, but don't underestimate them, the students know exactly what they are talking about. After a short session with one of our Technical Sales Engineers it is totally clear what they need: a dynamic torque sensor.
