For many years, Althen Sensors & Controls has been the proud sponsor of the Blue Train Bike Club. This group of cycling enthusiasts from North Holland plans a bike trip once every two years to a challenging and beautiful destination to do what they love, cycle. This year, Dirk Schouten, former CEO of Althen Group, and his fellow Blue Train bikers have taken on the Dolomites.

On the fourth of September, the men in blue left their home and were headed towards their accommodation in Cortina d'Ampezzo, an Italian village in the Dolomites. The following five days, the group took on several challenging mountain routes with steep slopes that sometimes even went up to a twelve percent incline. During their trip, the men took on some famous mountain routes such as the Passo Giau, Passo campolong, Passo Cibiana, Tre Coci, Tre Cime and many other difficult routes.

After five days of intense cycling, beautiful views and, of course, many laughs, the Blue Group packed their bags and returned to the Netherlands. As the exhausted men travel back, all of them can still smile knowingly that yet another one of their cycling adventures, was an enormous success.

Dirk Schouten: "Via this route I would like to thank our main sponsor Althen for our newest cycling outfits on behalf of the Bleu Train Bike Club".
