ASC 62C1 DC acceleration sensor for impact and crash test measurement

Ultra-lightweight piezoresistive MEMS acceleration sensor with DC response and high shock resistance, ideal for crash testing and dynamic impact analysis.

Key features

  • DC response (0 Hz) for static and low-frequency acceleration
  • Measurement ranges: ±500 g, ±1000 g, ±2000 g
  • Shock-resistant up to ±5000 g
  • Ratiometric mV output via Wheatstone bridge
  • Compact and lightweight: only 3 grams

Performance

The ASC 62C1 is a piezoresistive MEMS acceleration sensor designed for demanding dynamic applications. With true DC response and low mass, it is optimized for high-precision impact testing, drop tests, and high-g crash scenarios. The integrated Wheatstone bridge provides a linear millivolt output, supporting high-resolution data acquisition systems.

Applications

This sensor is ideally suited for:

  • automotive crash testing
  • sled testing
  • drop simulation
  • sports equipment validation
  • wearable system integration.

Its extremely low weight allows it to be mounted directly onto test objects without affecting dynamics or inertia.

Advantages

The ASC 62C1 delivers fast, accurate acceleration signals with excellent stability under shock loads up to 5000 g. Its gas-damped piezoresistive element ensures minimal signal distortion and short recovery time. The 6-meter PUR cable and IP67-sealed aluminum housing make it robust enough for harsh test setups, while adhesive or screw mounting offers easy integration into a wide range of test rigs.
