About the P100 In-cylinder linear position sensor

Cylinder-Integrated Precision Sensing. The P100 sensor by Althen is engineered for in-cylinder position measurement in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Its slim, rugged form factor fits directly into cylinders, delivering precise, reliable stroke feedback even in demanding OEM environments.

Custom-calibrated and fully protected

Each sensor is factory-calibrated to a specific stroke length (from 5 mm up to 800 mm) and built with full EMC protection. The stainless steel body and inert fluoropolymer-coated probe ensure durability, while sealing options up to IP67 protect against fluid ingress and environmental contaminants.

Non-contact for long-term reliability

Using Althen's inductive ASIC-based technology, the P100 provides absolute, contactless position feedback—eliminating mechanical wear and extending sensor life. The system responds dynamically across nearly the full probe length and supports reverse output variants.

Flexible configuration for OEM integration

With multiple mounting thread types (M20x1.5, M18x1.5, ¾-16 UNF), flange styles (Penny & Giles, Temposonics, Parker), and electrical outputs (0.5–4.5V, ±5V, ±10V, 0.5–9.5V, 4–20 mA), the P100 can be tailored for almost any system design.
