About the E505 Rotary Inductive Position Sensor

The E505 is a compact rotary sensor using non-contact inductive technology, designed for high-precision feedback in demanding environments. It ensures stable, linear output across a calibrated range and operates reliably in extreme conditions from -40°C to +80°C. The sensor offers infinite resolution and a high frequency response (>10 kHz).

Usage conditions

Certified for hazardous areas (Ex II 1GD), the E505 is intrinsically safe for gas/vapour (Zones 0–2) and dust (Zone 20), with ATEX, IECEx, and UKEX compliance. It offers full 360° shaft rotation and is designed to work with Althen’s X005 galvanic isolation amplifier for safe operation.
