Performance highlights S520 S520 Submersible rotary sensor
The S520 submersible rotary sensor delivers high-resolution angle feedback using advanced inductive sensing technology. With no moving electrical contacts, it ensures long operational life and eliminates wear. The output is factory-calibrated to a user-defined angle range between 15° and 160°, with excellent linearity (≤ ±0.25% FSO) and infinite resolution. The unit supports multiple analog outputs such as 0.5–4.5V, ±5V, ±10V, 0.5–9.5V, and 4–20mA (2-wire and 3-wire versions).
Usage conditions
The S520 is fully sealed to IP68 and pressure-balanced for underwater use up to 350 bar. Operating and storage temperature ranges are both from -4°C to +50°C. The housing and shaft are made from 316 stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance even in harsh subsea environments.
Possible applications:
- ROV joint position feedback
- Underwater robotic articulation
- Subsea valve actuation
- Industrial marine automation
- Pressure chamber test setups
- Oil & gas equipment motion tracking
Other important features:
- EMC compliant to EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-3
- Shock resistance up to 40g
- Vibration resistance up to 10g
- Standard 4-pin IP68 wet-mate connector with optional cable assemblyReversible output characteristic available
Standard 3D model and STEP files available on request
