About the 701-2A/2B High-Precision Platform Inclinometer 

– platform tiltmeter for high-accuracy tilt & deformation monitoring

The 701-2 platform tiltmeter (available as 701-2A High-Gain and 701-2B Mid-Range) is one of Jewell Instruments’ most widely used designs for high-precision tilt measurement. With integrated Invar leveling feet, it can be mounted quickly and repeatably on any horizontal surface. The unit also provides two switchable gains and two low-pass filter settings, allowing you to optimize measurement behavior and signal smoothing for your application.

Precision that stays stable over time

At its core is an absolute, gravity-referenced electrolytic sensor, delivering ultra-high sensitivity down to < 0.1 µrad with virtually zero long-term drift. Output is a stable ±8 VDC (or ±16 VDC differential)—ideal for precise data acquisition and long-term monitoring.
