About the C801 “Tuff Tilt 420”

– 4–20 mA Tiltmeter (IP65) for precise tilt measurement over long cable runs

The C801 “Tuff Tilt 420” is a single- or dual-axis inclinometer featuring a 4–20 mA, 2-wire current loop output (per axis)—ideal for PLC/industrial integration and long cable distances with minimal signal loss. An on-board thermistor is included for temperature measurement. With an IP65 enclosure rating, the unit is well suited for demanding environments.

Features

  • Output: 4–20 mA 2-wire current loop (per axis)
  • Axes: 1 or 2 (uniaxial/biaxial)
  • Ranges: ±0.5°, ±3°, ±50°
  • High resolution:
    • 0.0001° at ±0.5°
    • 0.0006° at ±3°
    • 0.01° at ±50°
  • Temperature channel: integrated thermistor (measurement range −50 to +150 °C)
  • Rugged for field & industry: IP65, operating −40 to +85 °C
  • Designed for long runs: 4–20 mA for noise-immune transmission

Typical applications

  • Structural monitoring (structures/industrial assets)
  • Platform leveling
  • Industrial measurement & control
  • Installations with long cable runs (e.g., outdoor sites, large machines/structures)

Technical data

  • Output signal: 4–20 mA (per axis), 2-wire
  • Ranges: ±0.5° / ±3° / ±50°
  • Resolution: 0.0001° / 0.0006° / 0.01° (range dependent)
  • Operating temperature: −40 to +85 °C
  • Protection rating: IP65
  • Cable: 3 m (standard)

Options / accessories

  • 1- or 2-axis version
