Key features
- Uniaxial measurement with high resolution (0.005°)
- Measuring ranges: ±15° and ±90°
- Low temperature coefficient of bias (0.02 °/°C)
- Excellent long-term bias stability (0.1° per year)
- Wide operating temperature: −40 °C to +120 °C
- Shock resistance up to 5,000 g
- Analog voltage output, 4-wire system
- Optional 4–20 mA current output
Performance
The ASC TS-91V1 and TS-91V5 are uniaxial MEMS capacitive tilt sensors engineered for precise inclination measurements in demanding applications. They use highly sensitive low-g MEMS accelerometers to detect static acceleration caused by gravity. With a resolution of 0.005° and long-term bias stability of 0.1° per year, both sensors ensure reliable performance over extended periods .
They provide a nominal full-scale output of ±2 V for ±90° tilt, with linear response within ±15°. Operating from a wide supply voltage (+6 to +36 VDC), they consume just 2 mA per axis, making them highly energy efficient. Both models withstand shocks up to 5,000 g and provide stable operation from −40 °C to +120 °C.
Usage conditions
The TS-91V1 features a lightweight anodized aluminium housing (IP67), ideal for compact or weight-sensitive systems. The TS-91V5 offers stainless steel housing with IP68 protection, making it robust enough for marine, construction, or other harsh outdoor environments.
Applications
- Crane safety systems
- Building and construction machinery
- Solar tracking systems
- Ship navigation and posture measurement
- Bridge monitoring
- Track alignment and railway maintenance
- Wheel alignment systems
- Truck chassis levelling
- Machine tool angle positioning
Advantages of choosing these sensors
The ASC TS-91V1 and TS-91V5 offer engineers flexibility: a lightweight aluminium version for compact and mobile setups, and a rugged stainless steel version for maximum durability. Both deliver high precision, long-term stability, and reliable analog output.
