Multi-Axis Torque Sensors

Multi-axis torque sensors (multi-component transducers) are ideal when you need to measure torque and force(s) simultaneously—for example, force and torque along the same axis. Thanks to minimal cross-talk between measurement channels, they provide direct, clean measurement data without the need for complex mathematical corrections or computational deviations.

They are particularly suitable for testing and development tasks where multiple load parameters act simultaneously and must be evaluated separately. Depending on the design, axial forces and reaction torques can be measured independently. The channels can also be calibrated bidirectionally, ensuring reproducible results in testing environments.

  • 2-in-1 measurement
Simultaneous measurement of force and torque (e.g. on the same axis) in a single sensor.
  • Minimal crosstalk
Excellent channel separation for direct measurement without the need for correction models
  • Suitable for test benches & calibratable
Multi-channel measurement with bidirectional calibration per channel (model- and application-specific)

Applications of Multi-Axis Torque Sensors

  • Test benches & development
Component and system testing, validation, and comparative measurements under combined loads
  • Joining, press-fit & fastening processes
Analysis of axial force–torque relationships (e.g., press-fitting, screwdriving)
  • Mechanical engineering & automation
Functional and load testing, quality inspection, and end-of-line measurements
  • Robotics & specialized applications
Characterization of actuators, grippers, and mechanical systems with multidimensional load profiles
