Micro Air Data Systems

A Micro Air Data System, in combination with an air data probe, offers a complete solution for acquisition and processing of air flow data at an unprecedented combination of size and accuracy

About the Micro Airdata System (μADC)

Aeroprobe offers several Micro Air Data Systems (μADC) well-suited for a wide variety of applications. All systems are compatible with Aeroprobe’s standard, heated, and temperature measuring Air Data probes.

With an Air Data probe, all models offer a complete solution for acquisition and processing of air flow data at an unprecedented combination of size and accuracy.

  • Pegasus
This model offers lower power and wider operational temperature range with data logging capability | 170g - 1.1 Watts - 66x79x41 mm
  • Endeavor
A versatile model with extended measuring range of ±40° instead of ±20°, input for RTD, 202 g - 1.1 Watt - 66x79x41 mm
  • Destiny
Provides embedded AHRS with lower power, wider operational temperature range, and data logging capability | 170g - 1.1 Watts - 66x79x41 mm
  • Orion
The most rugged / Qualified to MIL and DO standards | 220 grams - 1.1 Watts - ∅95x28 mm
Voyager includes an embedded GPS/INS with data logging capability | 185 grams - 1.7 Watts - 66x79x41 mm
  • Voyager
    Includes integrated GPS/INS | 285 grams - 1.7 Watts - 66x79x41

In addition to being lightweight and cutting-edge, our products are also reliable and expertly engineered. Our µADCS have achieved certifications from independent labs that demonstrate their ability to be operated in harsh conditions, including extreme temperature and vibration environments. Additionally, add-on testing is available for each Pegasus and Destiny unit for application-specific needs.

The Pegasus and Destiny µADC models have achieved MIL-STD 810G, MIL-STD 461F, and FAA DO-160F certifications, which include:

  • Low temperature storage and operation
  • High temperature storage and operation
  • Acceleration
  • Vibration
  • Shock
  • Combined temperature, humidity, and altitude
  • Radiated susceptibility

Documentation validating that units from both models meet or exceed the standards needed for certifications is available.

Extra Screening (ES) versions of Pegasus and Destiny are also available and undergo thermal soak testing in addition to the standard tests performed on all µADCs.

Add-on testing includes:

  • Acceleration
  • Random vibration
  • Combined altitude and temperature
  • Custom testing
