Performance
The ASC DiSens® MD is part of ASC’s innovative DiSens® series with digital interfaces, combining high-quality accelerometers with integrated data acquisition. This eliminates the need for separate DAQ systems, reducing cost and complexity. Thanks to digital transmission, interference is minimized, making the MD model especially suitable for applications with long cable runs.
The ASC DiSens® MD is a triaxial digital accelerometer with software-selectable ranges of ±2 g, ±4 g and ±8 g. Acceleration values are transmitted as raw digital data via EtherCAT protocol to a host system, where they are processed by analysis software. Up to 12 devices can be daisy-chained with an active power supply .
Usage conditions
Housed in a lightweight aluminium enclosure, the sensor is rated IP20 and designed for protected installations. It operates reliably from −20 °C to +60 °C with a supply voltage of 12–48 VDC. Daisy chaining with shielded CAT5e/CAT6 cables allows multiple devices to be connected in sequence, with up to 50 m distance node-to-node.
Applications
- Structural health monitoring of bridges and buildings
- Seismic measurement and earthquake research
- Vibration monitoring on construction machinery
- Condition monitoring on industrial equipment
- Monitoring of mobile network antenna structures
Advantages of choosing this product
The ASC DiSens® MD combines high resolution, digital output, and robust MEMS technology with EtherCAT connectivity. Its integrated DAQ functionality reduces system complexity, while daisy chaining enables scalable installations. Delivered with DEWESoft X3 software, it provides a complete solution for recording, analysis and reporting.
