About the AAA640 MEMS accelerometer
The AAA640 series accelerometers measure vector acceleration with high accuracy. They incorporate a silicon sensor using air-damped MEMS technology. As a result, unlike liquid-damped sensors, they are largely independent of temperature by design. Mechanical stops provide excellent shock resistance. Sensitivity and zero point are compensated against temperature influences.
The AAA640 is powered by an unregulated DC voltage and connected via a bayonet connector. It offers a wide usable frequency range and is equipped as standard with a 5 Hz low-pass filter. Optionally, the accelerometer can be supplied with an output preset to 1 g to compensate for acceleration due to gravity.
Typical application areas include data acquisition systems, accident data recorders, lifetime monitoring and prediction, braking monitoring and control in public transport systems, track bed analysis and fault detection equipment for high-speed railways, military and civil flight simulators, autopilots and low-frequency vibration monitoring.
In addition to the accelerometers offered in the datasheet, we provide custom accelerometers for special applications. These custom sensors can be manufactured and tested according to specific requirements and standards, for example in the automotive industry.
