Performance
The ASC IMU 7 is an industrial grade inertial measurement unit (IMU) designed for precise detection of linear accelerations and angular rates across six degrees of freedom. It integrates three capacitive MEMS accelerometers and three vibrating ring gyroscopes in a single compact housing. Available with either Low Noise (LN) accelerometers for outstanding noise performance (7–50 µg/√Hz) or Medium Frequency (MF) accelerometers for wider frequency response up to 4.5 kHz, the ASC IMU 7 adapts to application-specific requirements. With gyroscope bias stability of 12 °/hr and angular random walk of 0.2 °/√hr, it ensures highly stable performance.
Usage conditions
The IMU’s robust anodized aluminum housing (IP65) makes it reliable in harsh environments, while its design ensures resistance to shocks and vibrations. It operates within −40 °C to +85 °C, with power supply from 5–40 VDC and low current consumption (<40 mA LN / <35 mA MF). The detachable connector cable can be customized in length and connector type.
