The G502 is a compact, intrinsically safe rotary position sensor designed for hazardous gas/vapour environments (CSA-approved: Class I, Zone 0, Division 1). It delivers superior resolution at small angles of deflection compared to the G500, making it ideal for applications requiring precision over limited rotational ranges. The output is factory calibrated to a customer-defined angle between 5° and 15°, with a proportional linear output (0.5–4.5 V ratiometric) and full EMC protection.
Usage conditions
With a rugged stainless steel body (Ø35 mm, 44 mm length) and IP65/IP67 sealing, the G502 withstands extreme environments. It operates reliably from -40°C to +80°C, with high resistance to vibration (10 g) and shock (40 g). The sensor is certified to EX ia IIC T4 Ga standards, ensuring safe operation in explosive gas atmospheres.
