About the P510 Rotary position sensor (High shaft loading)
Built for high mechanical stress. The P510 rotary position sensor from Althen is designed for environments where both axial and radial shaft loads are a reality. With support for up to 350N radial and 250N axial loads, this sensor is ideal for tough mechanical applications and industrial automation systems.
Precise angle feedback, long service life
With inductive, non-contact technology, the P510 offers wear-free operation and excellent long-term stability. It provides an analog signal proportional to angular position, with full 360° freedom of rotation and a factory-calibrated working angle between 11° and 160°. A reference notch ensures precise installation and alignment.
Customizable & robust construction
Constructed from stainless steel with an IP67 sealing, the P510 ensures reliable performance under vibration (10g), shock (40g), and extreme temperatures (-40°C to +125°C). Output options include 0.5–4.5V, ±5V, ±10V, 0.5–9.5V, or 4–20mA (2- or 3-wire), with signal integrity protected by EMC compliance and wiring protection tiers (see page 4).
Mounting and connectivity flexibility
Choose between flat or keyed shaft, and axial or radial connectors (M12, cable gland, short cable). Each unit is factory calibrated and offers plug-and-play installation via standard flange and electrical pinout options, as shown on page 5.
