About the A603 High-Precision Platform Inclinometer
– platform-mounted tilt sensor for ultra-fine tilt and deformation measurements
The A603 Platform Inclinometer is a highly precise, rugged tilt measurement instrument for demanding monitoring and leveling tasks. It uses an absolute, gravity-referenced electrolytic sensor and features two switchable gains as well as two low-pass filter settings—ideal for tailoring measurement behavior and signal smoothing to your application.
Why A603?
In geophysical and metrology applications, every nanoradian matters: the A603 achieves ultra-high sensitivity down to < 2.5 nrad with virtually no long-term drift. The output signal is a stable ±8 VDC (or ±16 VDC differential)—perfect for precise data acquisition and long-term monitoring.
Benefits
- Absolute gravity-referenced electrolytic sensor for maximum stability
- Two switchable gains + two low-pass filter settings for flexible signal optimization
- Very high resolution (depending on version, down to < 2.5 nrad)
- 2-axis measurement (X/Y) + temperature channel
- Rugged design for continuous field measurements and industrial environments
Typical applications
The A603 is the preferred solution for:
- Volcano monitoring
- High-precision geotechnical applications
- Bridge deflection/deformation monitoring
- Precision metrology
- Radar platform leveling and other high-accuracy tilt monitoring tasks
Technical highlights
- Output: ±8 VDC (single-ended), ±16 VDC (differential)
- Axes: 2 (X-tilt, Y-tilt) + temperature
- Filter / time constant: filter ON 7.5 s, OFF 0.5 s
- Supply: ±11 to ±15 VDC (reverse polarity protected)
- Operating temperature: −25 °C to +70 °C
