About the G623 Submersible angular tilt sensor

The G623 is a heavy-duty, submersible tilt sensor designed for extreme underwater environments. It uses Althen’s proprietary intrinsically safe EX07 electronics, certified for use in potentially explosive gas or vapour atmospheres. The sensor is calibrated to the required angular range from 15° to 160° and offers high linearity and infinite resolution.

It provides a ratiometric analogue signal from 0.5 to 4.5 V, proportional to angular rotation, with an integrated centre reference mark for easy installation. The G623 is designed for minimal maintenance and ensures high reliability during long-term deep-sea operation thanks to its inductive, contactless technology.

Environmental protection

With an IP68 rating up to 350 bar, the G623 is suitable for depths of up to 3,500 metres. The housing is precision-machined from 316 stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance in saline or aggressive environments.

The G623 also complies with EMC requirements according to EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-3.
