Performance
The ASC TSF-360-CAN is based on proven fluidic tilt sensor technology, exploiting the physical principle that a liquid surface always aligns horizontally under gravity. Using a capacitive electrode arrangement, the tilt angle is measured with high resolution and accuracy.
The sensor integrates robust MEMS fluidic elements with digital electronics, ensuring accurate inclination data across the full 360° measurement range. Accuracy is better than 0.15° over the entire range, with typical values <0.10°. With a resolution of <0.01°, the sensor is suitable for highly demanding monitoring applications.
Measurement data is internally digitized and transmitted via a CAN or CANopen interface. Flexible supply voltage from 9 to 32 VDC ensures compatibility with a wide range of systems. Internal temperature compensation provides stable performance between −40 °C and +85 °C.
Usage conditions
The sensor is enclosed in a rugged anodized aluminium housing with IP67 protection, designed for reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments. With a standard 5-pin M12 connector, it is easy to integrate into existing systems. At just 80 g, it is lightweight and robust.
Applications
- Alignment of cranes and construction machinery
- Orientation of solar tracking systems
- Vehicle alignment in agricultural applications
- Renewable energy system monitoring
- Bridge and structural tilt monitoring
Advantages of this sensor
The ASC TSF-360-CAN combines the simplicity of a fluidic tilt measurement principle with digital CAN connectivity. Engineers benefit from high accuracy, long-term stability, robust housing and straightforward integration, making it a reliable solution for industrial, renewable and infrastructure projects.
