Compact miniature load cell for precise force measurement

The ALF251 miniature load cell is designed for accurate force measurement in applications where installation space is limited. Its compact diaphragm construction, with a diameter of only 20 mm, makes it suitable for integration into OEM equipment, industrial machinery and precision test systems.

The ALF251 is available for compression, tension or bidirectional measurement. It can be supplied as a load button version for compression applications or with threaded fittings for tension, compression and bidirectional force measurement.

Performance highlights

The ALF251 is available in measuring ranges of 100 N, 200 N, 400 N, 800 N, 1.6 kN and 3.2 kN. This broad range makes the load cell suitable for both low-force measurements and higher industrial loads.

Each ALF251 is supplied with a traceable calibration certificate. Bidirectional versions are calibrated in both tension and compression, with the output value for each direction stated on the test and calibration certificate.

Usage conditions

For optimum accuracy, the load must be applied directly through the central loading axis. The ALF251 operates within a safe temperature range of -10°C to +80°C and is sealed to IP65 for use in demanding industrial environments.

Measuring ranges up to and including 200 N are manufactured from aluminium. All higher standard ranges are manufactured from hardened stainless steel for increased strength and durability. The load cell is supplied with a 2 metre screened PVC cable.
