Force feedback for safer exoskeleton control in Project MARCH XI
Compact miniature load cell for accurate tension and compression force measurement in confined spaces. The ALF255 is suitable for OEM equipment, industrial process control, scientific testing and engineering applications.
The ALF255 miniature load cell is designed for reliable force measurement in applications with limited installation space. Its compact cylindrical construction has a diameter of approximately 30 mm, making it suitable for integration into OEM equipment, industrial machinery and compact test systems.
The ALF255 is available as a load button version for compression-only measurement or as a threaded stud version for tension, compression or bidirectional force measurement. This flexibility allows the load cell to be adapted to a wide range of industrial, scientific and engineering applications.
The ALF255 is available with rated loads of:
The load cell offers a terminal non-linearity of ±0.5% of rated load, hysteresis of ±0.5% RL and repeatability of ±0.1% RL. Its nominal output is 1.6 mV/V, with a rationalised output of 1.0 mV/V ±0.5% RL available for single-direction calibrations.
The load button version is intended for compression measurement. The stud version is available for compression, tension or bidirectional measurement.
In bidirectional versions, the output signal may differ slightly between tension and compression. Standard bidirectional load cells are therefore calibrated in both directions, with the output for each direction stated on the test or calibration certificate.
The ALF255 is suitable for monitoring critical force parameters in industrial processes. Its compact size and versatile configuration also make it suitable for scientific and engineering test work in mobile, workshop, static and dynamic applications.
The stainless-steel construction and IP65 protection rating support reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. For optimum performance, the force must be applied directly through the central loading axis.
The ALF255 combines a compact design with a broad force range extending up to 6.4 kN. This makes it especially useful where a relatively high measuring capacity is required within a restricted installation envelope.
Its availability in load button and threaded stud versions gives engineers the flexibility to select the correct mechanical configuration for compression-only, tension-only or bidirectional applications.
The robust stainless-steel body, IP65 sealing and traceable calibration options make the ALF255 a practical solution for both industrial installations and precision test environments.
