We solve your ATEX sensor challenge

ATEX sensors are engineered to prevent ignition risks while maintaining accurate measurement performance.

Most projects fail because:

  • Sensors do not meet the required specifications
  • Certification limits the available options
  • Standard products do not fit the application

We solve this by combining standard solutions with custom engineering.

  • Wide range of ATEX and IECEx Certified Sensors
  • Experts in hazardous areas
  • High Precision Measurement
  • Reliable partnerships

Solutions for every ATEX zone

Althen provides high performance, ATEX certified, sensor solutions that meet the highest safety standards and are proven in critical applications worldwide. For every sensor, we clearly specify the applicable ATEX zone classification, supported by detailed datasheets. This allows engineers to quickly determine whether a sensor is suitable for Zone 0, Zone 1 or Zone 2 environments. With comprehensive technical documentation and expert support, we help you select the right ATEX sensor with confidence.

We offer ATEX sensors for:

Case: Reliability at depths of 3.5 km

Underwater position measurement of hydraulic valves

Subsea pipelines are equipped with hydraulic valves to control the flow of liquid or gas that is going through the pipeline. Our submersible intrinsically safe inductive position sensors are designed to operate underwater down to 3,5 km depth.

Due to the sealed 316 stainless steel housing and contactless sensing technology, these sensors offer high reliability and high accuracy even in the harshest environments.
