S-Beam force sensors
S-Beam force sensors are also called S-Beam force sensors, S-Beam load cells or S-Beam force transducers. S-Beam force transducers consist of an S-shaped spring body or spring body made of metal or stainless steel. When a force acts on this S-shaped spring body, the surface deforms. The actual sensor element is the strain gauges, which are mounted on the spring body. The strain gauges absorb the mechanical deformation and transform it into an electrical output signal.
