755-High-Gain and 756-Mid-Range Miniature Tilt Sensors
Small, lightweight sensors ideal for precise measurement and control applications where space is limited
Key features
- Small and lightweight
- Precise measurement and control applications where space is limited
- For special vacuum applications
- Available with size or weight restrictions
About the 755 & 756 Miniature Tilt Sensors
– compact, high-precision tilt sensors for limited installation space
The 755 and 756 Series from Jewell Instruments are miniaturized tilt sensor modules (single- or dual-axis) that combine electrolytic tilt transducers in a rugged stainless-steel or aluminum housing. They are designed for applications with space or weight constraints—without compromising precision—using the same high-accuracy sensing elements found in the 500 and 700 Series tiltmeters.
Two variants to match your measurement task
- 755 Series (High-Gain): for very small tilt angles with high amplification
- 756 Series (Mid-Range): for larger tilt ranges and more general-purpose applications
Key benefits at a glance
- Extremely compact & lightweight – ideal for direct mounting where space is tight
- Single- or dual-axis (model dependent) for precise 1D/2D tilt measurement
- Flexible mounting: drilled holes for vertical or horizontal installation
- Vacuum-compatible versions (low outgassing) available for high-vacuum environments
- Remote operation possible: sensors can be operated up to 100 m from the signal conditioner via cable
Typical applications
These compact modules are commonly used for precision alignment and positioning, for example:
- X-ray mirrors
- Telescope mounts
- Wind tunnel models
- Medical technology
The 755/756 Miniature Tilt Sensors are the right choice when you need high-precision tilt measurement in a very compact form factor—optionally vacuum-compatible—and want flexible single- or dual-axis integration into your measurement or control system.
