About the aCTA Hot-Wire Bridge
The aCTA hot-wire bridge is a powerful measuring device for precise and dynamic acquisition of air flow velocities. It has been specifically developed for demanding applications in flow measurement technology and stands out due to its high accuracy, ease of use, and versatile application possibilities.
With a calibrated measurement range of up to 50 m/s, the aCTA is particularly suitable for analyzing low to medium flow velocities. Higher velocities can also be measured with appropriate calibration. The system operates based on the proven hot-wire principle, enabling highly sensitive and fast detection of even the smallest flow fluctuations.
A key advantage of the aCTA is its plug-and-play functionality: the device is already optimally matched to hot-wire sensors of type HWP10/xx, eliminating the need for complex adjustments and setup. This saves time and allows immediate use in laboratories or test benches.
The output signal is provided as an analog voltage (±10 V) and can be directly converted into flow velocities, taking calibration and temperature into account. An integrated low-pass filter (5 kHz) reduces unwanted aliasing effects during digital data acquisition, while an unfiltered output allows measurements up to 20 kHz.
An innovative feature is the acoustic signal output: flow fluctuations can be made audible via headphones. This intuitive function significantly facilitates analysis and troubleshooting, especially for acoustically noticeable flow phenomena.
Power is supplied flexibly via a plug-in power supply or an external DC source in the range of 9–18 V, making the aCTA suitable for both stationary and mobile applications.
Key benefits at a glance:
- Precise measurement of flow velocities up to 50 m/s
- Plug-and-play operation without calibration effort
- Analog output (±10 V) for easy processing
- Integrated low-pass filter and high-speed measurement option
- Acoustic analysis of flow signals
- Flexible power supply (9–18 V)
The aCTA hot-wire bridge is the ideal solution for engineers, researchers, and developers who require reliable and high-resolution flow measurements—from basic research to industrial applications.
