The FDKP Short wheel profile gauge is a compact laser-based measurement system developed for precise and repeatable inspection of railway wheel geometry in space-constrained environments. It measures key parameters such as flange height, flange thickness, and flange slope, while also capturing the full rolling surface profile.

With a measurement deviation of ≤ 0.1 mm and a scanning time of 1–2 seconds, it delivers fast and reliable results without compromising accuracy.

Usage conditions

The FDKP Short is specifically designed for situations where access to the wheel is limited, such as confined areas around braking systems or bogies. It enables direct measurement on rolling stock without removing the wheelset.
